Menachem Levitz Isseroff was born to a chabad family in Crown Heights. At the age of 18 he moved to Israel and served in the IDFs airborne brigade as a combat medic, recon scout, team leader, and drill sergeant. Following his service he obtained a Bachelor's of Medical Science from The Hebrew University and a Masters Degree in Biochemistry from The Weizmann Institute of Science in Rechovot. Today he is a PhD candidate researching cellular senescence and aging and runs The Lone Soldier Empowerment Foundation, a registered Israeli NGO which helps immigrants and youth from complex backgrounds prepare for service in combat units in the IDF. Menachem was also called up for over 8 months of service since Oct. 7th in a wide range of theaters including to clear the town of Kibutz Kfar Aza on Oct. 7th, 2 months in Gaza, and a month in Lebanon.
