Ben Fritz covers the entertainment industry from The Wall Street Journal's Los Angeles bureau. He was previously the Journal's artificial intelligence editor and its West Coast U.S. News editor. Before joining the Journal in 2013, Ben covered Hollywood for the Los Angeles Times and Variety.

He reported and hosted The Journal podcast miniseries "With Great Power: The Rise of Superhero Cinema" and is author of the bestselling books "The Big Picture: The Fight for the Future of Movies" and "All the President's Spin."

Ben has won awards from the Los Angeles Press Club and the Society for Advanced Business Editing and Writing and edited coverage that won awards from the National Association of Black Journalists and the New York Press Club.
